Some say Boo and his wife Betty lived in this barn with their 2 dogs Sprout and Thunder, for 50 years. Thunder was aptly named for his tendency to 'let one rip' at inopportune moments.

Old Boo was the strong silent type. His forearms would often be found resting, tawny as an old oak branch on the old workbench that he'd fashioned into a kitchen table during the Great Depression of the 1930s.

Unflappable, Boo was toughened with years of knowing work was only as hard as your own attitude, his gnarled hands often streaked with glistening drops of refrigerated dew at the end of the day. The habitual aluminium wind-down registering as cool pinpricks on his skin, calling quitting time until the sun rose again.

The Depression taught Old Boo to never let a thing go to waste. Broken things were just a project waiting to happen. When his neighbour's old tractor 'Rusty' broke, he put it together with an old rabbit trap for a footrest and created stools for the kitchen table.
Every morning he would sidle up to the breakfast bar and eat his bacon and eggs with a black coffee before the sun came up.

Betty was a sweet lady, full of love, the scent of scones and a secret wild past as a motorbike enthusiast.

The love of Boo and Betty fill the walls of our barn with happiness and good times. They night not have really existed but they are inspiration for our brand new, rustic barn build.

It's a friendly neighbourhood, so we like our good times but we love people who are chilled out and respectful of our neighbours.
